Soccer fever is taking over Oakville as the games kick off in Toronto on June 12 with Canada versus Bosnia and Herzegovina. Oakville businesses are getting in the spirit by creating special soccer-themed experiences to help fans cheer on teams this summer.

DAY ONE
Header Your Way to Oakville
Start your day in Bronte Village at Artventures Oakville by painting on canvas or making one-of-a-kind soccer mugs or bowls. This fun adventure is perfect for all skill levels and ages. You will be able to bring your craft home with you to commemorate your time in Oakville and the World Cup (reservations required).
After you are done painting, head down Bronte Road for lunch at either Marine Tavern or coffeehouse Taste of Columbia. Marine Tavern is hosting watch parties inside their restaurant and on their covered patio. Watch the game while enjoying curated themed foods and beverages during every match. Alternatively, cheer on Team Canada and Team Colombia at Taste of Colombia. This café is hosting watch parties during Canadian and Colombian games. They have also created a special Colombian combo box of empanadas, pandebonos and a Colombian drink for $25. Wear your Colombian jersey on game days, and you will receive a free Tinto.
After lunch, grab an ice cream at Flavour Fox, Visit Oakville’s Talk of the Town winner for best ice cream. The Flavour Fox has created limited-time flavours including blueberry cheesecake, Dubai chocolate, vegan white chocolate raspberry, and lotus biscoff.

Enjoy your ice cream while taking a leisurely stroll around Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. View the more than 80 newly installed Muskoka chairs, individually hand-painted by local business owners and artists.Â
Next, get all your soccer-related gear at Soccer World Central. Soccer World has a wide range of different apparel celebrating the upcoming tournament. Purchase a fleece, jersey, or hat to show your support for your favourite team or purchase a soccer ball to practise your skills. If you visit Soccer World on a Sunday between 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. during the tournament, you can take part in their sticker trading event. Â Â Â Â
For dinner, head to Kerr Village and visit the Gingerman Social Eatery. This gastropub is hosting watch parties and will feature special food and drink deals during games. Â
DAY TWO
Kicking Things Up a Notch
Start your morning at Figaro Coffee House in Downtown Oakville. This café has transformed into a match-day lounge, complete with a big screen, special drink pricing, and a featured menu for fans. Enjoy a cup of coffee and their featured menu before hitting the streets of Downtown Oakville.
Spend the morning walking the streets of Downtown Oakville and window shopping at the many stores. Downtown Oakville is home to a diverse range of shops, including apparel, home décor, jewellery, beauty and wellness, and food and drink options.


While perusing the stores of Downtown Oakville, you will come across Nuworld Botanicals. This creative studio has a wide range of hands-on crafts that you can make, including their Patch Bar. Book an A La Carte session in June, and you can make a custom cap or trucker hat. Show support for your favourite team by adding a free soccer patch to your hat.
For lunch, head to Dave & Buster’s at Winston Churchill. Dave & Buster’s is part restaurant/bar, part arcade and games. Throughout June, they are serving a special menu available during matches along with new arcade games and soccer-themed merchandise in their crane games. Try their newly launched menu before challenging your friends or family to a game in their arcade.
After you are finished at Dave and Buster’s, take a short walk to iFLY Oakville for indoor skydiving. iFLY has a special package that includes two flights, photos and videos, a limited-edition commemorative t-shirt, and one entry into their grand sweepstakes.
After you have flown through the sky, catch one last game at Stack BBQ Smokehouse. This BBQ-style restaurant is hosting a viewing lounge while also serving a special soccer fan menu. If you wear your favourite team jersey on game day and your team wins, you will receive a complimentary dessert.
As your time in Oakville comes to a close, visit a bakery to enjoy a sweet treat on your way back home. Aveiro Bakery, Black Forest Pastry Shop, Chocolate and Love, Kelly’s Bake Shoppe, Sweet! Bakery, and The Sweetest Thing have all created special soccer-themed treats to commemorate the tournament.
