OAKVILLE, ON – As summer is almost here, Visit Oakville invites residents and visitors to explore an exciting lineup of events that celebrate the vibrant culture and community spirit of our town. From food festivals and live music to family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
“We are thrilled to welcome everyone to Oakville this summer,” said Rebecca Edgar, Executive Director, Visit Oakville. “Our town has an incredible lineup of events over the next couple of months. And while here, you can enjoy performances at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, discover the Oakville Museum or Oakville Galleries, hang out by the waterfront, explore the many trails of Bronte Creek Provincial Park or shop, and dine at our amazing restaurants in Bronte Village, Downtown Oakville or Kerr Village!”
Here are the top ten must-see events this summer in Oakville:
1. Oakville Film Festival – June 19-25 – Now in its 11th year, the festival brings the best in local, Canadian, and international cinema to Oakville. 2. Bronte Lake Notes – Starts June 20 – Relax by the water with live music performances on Thursday nights at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, showcasing talented artists in a picturesque setting.
3. Oakville Family Ribfest – June 21-23 – Kick off the summer with mouthwatering ribs, live music, and fun activities for all ages at this beloved community event.
4. Canada Day – July 1 – Join the Town of Oakville’s fun-filled evening of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, tasty food trucks and dazzling fireworks display.
5. Festival of India – July 7 – Join in for the first-ever Festival of India in Oakville! This exciting celebration will take place in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park and is a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich traditions of India, promoting unity and community spirit.

7. Emancipation Day Picnic – August 5 – Commemorate this historic day with a community picnic featuring live music, storytelling, and activities that honour the heritage and contributions of African Canadians.
8. Kerrfest and Kerrfest Kids – September 6-8 – Join us for a weekend of excitement with live performances, family activities, and entertainment that bring Kerr Village to life.
9. British Car Day – September 15 – Check out over 1,000 cars from vintage, classic and current British-manufactured vehicles, including motorcycles. The event is the largest, one-day, all-British car event in North America.
10. Downtown Oakville Events – Various dates – Summer in Downtown Oakville is shaping up to be an unforgettable season filled with many exciting events such as:
- Silent Disco – June 22 – Dance into the longest day of the year at the Summer Solstice Edition Silent Disco in Towne Square.
- TD Summer Music Series – Various dates until September 8 – Groove to the sounds of local musicians every Saturday and Sunday during the summer at Towne Square in Downtown Oakville.
- Retro Roller Jam – August 4 – Take a trip back in time with this fun-filled roller-skating event featuring retro music and costumes.
- Boots in the Square – August 17 – Dance the night away in Towne Square in Downtown Oakville with live country music, line dancing, and a festive atmosphere.
- Candlelit Concerts with the Oakville Symphony – August 10 & 24 – Enjoy enchanting evenings of classical music under the stars, with performances by the acclaimed Oakville Symphony.
- Mi Casa Your Casa – August 27 – September 19 – Experience the lively spirit of Latin American mercados at “Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0,” where red frames shaped like tiny houses offer a welcoming glow and swings to connect and relax in a playful, communal setting.
