It’s the dog days of summer! And if you’ve been wondering where you can take your furry friend to let them wander off-leash in Oakville, then you’re in luck. Here are our top four picks to have your pooch frolicking in no time:
Bronte Creek Provincial Park
Bronte Creek Provincial Park (1219 Burloak Drive) has not one but two off-leash areas where dogs can roam free. It offers acres of beautiful off-leash woodland walking trails, with river access. Washrooms and water for dogs is available in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The park is accessed from both the campground side at Bronte Road and Upper Middle Road and the Day Use entrance on Burloak Drive.
Tip – Visitors do have to pay an entrance fee to get into this park; however, if you stay for a while, have a picnic and explore the Nature Centre, Playbarn or have a round of disc golf, it’s well worth the fee!
