Join Santa and Mayor Rob Burton virtually on November 27 and wave to Santa at the Drive-Thru Toy Donation on December 10

Santa Claus is coming to town – twice! Jolly Old Saint Nicholas will be joining Mayor Rob Burton for a fireside chat on Saturday, November 27 at 9 a.m. and will be back again for the Oakville Professional Firefighters Association’s (Oakville PFFA) Drive-Thru Toy Donation event at Coronation Park on Friday, December 10 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Families are invited to join the conversation virtually by visiting the Oakville Santa Claus Parade website. For a second year in a row, Mayor Burton will be chatting with Santa and may even get a sneak peak at Oakville’s “naughty or nice” list. If you have a question for Santa, please email a short video to events@oakville.ca by Saturday, November 13 and your video may be played live for Santa during the fireside chat and/or shared online!

The virtual event will also feature the popular holiday colouring contest. Artists 10 years of age and younger are invited to colour a holiday scene for a chance to win a phone call from Santa. Winners will be announced during the broadcast on November 27.

More information about the virtual event can be found on the Oakville Santa Claus Parade website, including video submission guidelines, downloadable colouring sheets and contest details.

Santa’s second stop in town to spread holiday cheer will be at the Oakville PFFA’s 29th annual holiday food and toy drive on Friday, December 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. For a second year, the Oakville PFFA has partnered with the Town of Oakville to host the drive-thru donation event featuring the festive light display.

Oakville residents are encouraged to bring a gift card, unwrapped toy, and/or non-perishable food donation item to the event, as they drive-thru the park to wave at Santa from his sleigh, and enjoy the light display.

Oakville families are also reminded that Canada Post is helping Oakville residents reach Santa via mail. Letters to Santa can be sent to: Santa Claus, North Pole, HOH OHO. No postage is required. Letters to Santa will also be accepted at the Oakville PFFA Drive-Thru Toy Donation event on December 10.
