About our nominees:

Dar Nabati:

This Kerr Village restaurant serves up the best vegan food in town (they won our 2019 Best Vegan Menu Talk of the Town Award), inspired by the owner’s Mediterranean roots. All of their menu items are dairy-free, egg-free, preservative-free and refined sugar-free. They are also 98% gluten-free.

Film.ca Cinemas:

This community theatre has been a mainstay of Kerr Village since 2005, bringing big box office hits to Oakville for affordable prices. This 2020 Best Family Entertainment Talk of the Town Award-winner also screens many Canadian and independent films, runs filmmaking bootcamps and rents out theatres for private screenings and parties.

Howard Iron Works Printing Museum:

The Howard Iron Works museum’s current collection features an impressive selection of iron presses, cylinders, platens and bindery equipment dating from the 1830’s to the 1950’s. In addition, their library also features a collection of vintage printing-related books, technical and trade journals.
