Local outdoor spaces like these are beginning to open up, so please remember to practice social and physical distancing when enjoying these visual feasts.

1. Gairloch Gardens
Clear your head and take a walk through the expansive lakeside gardens at this Oakville Galleries location. Find peace in the sprawling landscape of flowers, foliage and water features.
2. Shell Park
This award-winning garden takes innovation to a new level, incorporating herbs, vegetables, flowers and fruits into its horticultural design. With more than 500 blooming roses and 10,000 annuls in flowers, you could spend a whole day taking in the floral diversity.
3. Erchless Estate
Walk through the lives of Oakville’s founding family at this carefully restored historic display of 1900s horticultural design. This gorgeous lakeside rock garden sits on the grounds of the Oakville Museum, once the home of George Chisholm and family.
4. Nottinghill Park
Looking for something a little less high profile? Nottinghill Park’s beautiful garden is nestled in a small neighbourhood and boasts four perennial flower beds, an ornamental grass collection and 7,500 annuals. This is the perfect place for a quiet read, quick walk or impromptu photoshoot.
5. Oakville Greenhouse
Want to get your fill of flowers in the winter? Head over to the Municipal Greenhouse and Conservatory to indulge your senses in spring. Escape the winter blues with seasonal flower displays, a diverse array of plant-life, a pond and a waterfall.
