What do yoyos, free gifts and giant rabbits have in common?

You can find them all at Oakville events this Easter!

Over the next couple of weeks, Easter fever is taking over the town at a number of sites that are getting in on the “egg”citement.

If you want to get your Easter fix early, hop on down to the Oakville Museum Easter Fun event on Sunday, Apr. 9. Two national yoyo champions from YoYoToronto will be on site to teach some tricks, and a live demonstration of traditional Ukrainian Pysanka egg decorating is sure to thrill anyone interested in arts and culture.

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park and the Bronte BIA are also hosting some “hare”-raising activities on Saturday, Apr. 15. At the Bronte Easter EGGstravaganza, you’ll have the chance to receive free gifts from participating shops, enter a colouring contest and even meet the Easter Bunny himself. Make sure to share your experiences on Twitter with the #BronteEaster hashtag!

If you’re looking to fill your Easter basket in the Downtown area, look no further than the Downtown Oakville Bunny Hop, also taking place on Saturday, Apr. 15. Presented by the Downtown BIA, this event includes a colouring contest, craft-making with the help of Oakville Galleries and the chance to meet Flemish Giant rabbits from Safari Science. One other giant rabbit, The Easter Bunny, may make an appearance too!

So, if you’re going to be in the Oakville area and are hunting for Easter activities the whole family can enjoy, check out any or all of these “egg”cellent events.

And the fun doesn’t end once Easter’s over. Check in with our events page to learn about more activities and events happening in the Town.
