In October 1987, Executive Chef Motoaki Aoki opened Oakville’s first Japanese restaurant after having received an invitation from then-mayor Harry Barrett.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Aoki brought with him his passion for both sophisticated and homegrown flavours. Today, Mye Japanese Restaurant is renowned for serving among the freshest and most appetizing Japanese cuisine to be found across Canada.
