Glen Abbey Golf Club, which welcomes the public golfer and ClubLink Members alike, has been a grand stage for golf history since opening more than 40 years ago. The world-famous property is also home to the Academies of ClubLink, the headquarters of Golf Canada, the Canadian Golf Museum and Hall of Fame, and the TaylorMade Performance Lab.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1976, Glen Abbey Golf Course attracts golfers from all over the world. Nestled amid the beauty of the Sixteen Mile Creek, Glen Abbey has hosted 30 Canadian Open Championships, more than any other course in Canada. In 2000, Tiger Woods shot from a bunker over the pond on 18 to win the tournament; a shot regarded by some as one of the most spectacular shots in recent PGA times.
In 2015, Jason Day beat out Bubba Watson and Canadian-favourite, David Hearn, with clutch birdie putts on the last three holes, to win his first Canadian Open title. “I’ve never felt so much at home, and I’m not even from Canada,” Day said, following his win.
In 2018 Glen Abbey Golf Club hosted the tournament for a record 30th time at the RBC Canadian Open.
