The Courage Polar Bear Dip

Location: Coronation Park, 1426 Lakeshore Rd. W, Oakville.

Every year on New Year’s Day, hundreds of people gather in Oakville to jump into the icy cold waters of Lake Ontario. Some do it to try something a little over the edge, some do it to ring in the New Year, some come to support their loved ones. But they all do it to help provide clean water in developing countries, through World Vision Canada.

Oakville residents who are not afraid of a little icy water are invited to take the plunge for a good cause by participating in the 39th annual Courage Polar Bear Dip on New Year's Day.

Schedule: 

12:30pm | Registration Opens, Live Music and Festivities Begin

1:15pm | Costume Contest

2pm | DIP!

4pm | Post-Dip Party at Tin Cup Oakville
