Stirring Up the Past

Location: Community Kitchen, Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, 2302 Bridge Rd, Oakville

Time: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Warmth, nostalgia, and nourishment!

People across time have always sought comfort through food, and every era has its own flavour. Join the Oakville Museum for a cozy, hands-on cooking experience where you’ll recreate historic recipes from the museum’s archives, from hearty soup and traditional stuffing to indulgent cake. Discover how previous generations found warmth, joy, and nourishment in their kitchens during the colder seasons.

This is a unique museum experience where Chef Laura Strath blends hands-on learning with a chance to interact with historic kitchen-related artifacts and the stories they hold.

Food brings history to life – and comfort food never goes out of style!
