This fall, locals and visitors alike can discover a packed calendar of events—from Celtic music to car shows, art markets to haunted history ghost walks—set against the town’s charming waterfront and colourful streetscapes.

Here are the top things to do in Oakville this fall:

  • Culture Days – September 19–Oct 12 – A nationwide celebration of arts and culture, Culture Days offers free hands-on workshops, performances, and interactive exhibits throughout Oakville.  This year, Oakville will have artist Shary Boyle as a Creative in Residence who will create a large-scale effigy sculpture called “The Sleeper: What keeps you up at night?” which will be on view at the Oakville Museum’s Erchless Estate.
  • Acorn Fest – September 19-20 – The Downtown Oakville BIA is bringing Canada’s Giant Acorn (8 ft x 6 ft) to Downtown Oakville! PLUS enjoy sidewalk art perfect for photos, live entertainment, family-friendly games, food/ drink, and so much more.
  • United We Curl: Pride Bonspiel – September 20-21 – Open to all to enjoy and hosted by the Oakville Curling Club, this inclusive and high-energy bonspiel celebrates the 2SLGBTQIA+ community through the sport of curling.
  • British Car Day – September 21 – Admire over 1,000 vintage British automobiles at Bronte Creek Provincial Park during the largest British car event in North America.
  • Fall Celtic Festival – September 27-28 – Experience the vibrant traditions of Celtic culture at the Fall Celtic Festival.  Featuring live music, food, dancing, and family-friendly activities.   • Harvest Festival – September 27-28 – Celebrate the harvest season at Bronte Creek Provincial Park’s Harvest Festival. Enjoy wagon rides, pick your own pumpkin, watch demonstrations of apple cider pressing and enjoy plenty of family-friendly activities in the great outdoors.
  • Bronte Falling for Fun Festival – September 28 – Celebrate the season at this two-day festival with live entertainment, artisan vendors, kids’ activities, and more along the scenic Bronte waterfront at Bronte Heritage Park.

  • Halloween Edition – Acorn FestOctober 17-18 – The Downtown Oakville BIA will feature Tails and Treats, family-friendly games, Halloween-themed entertainment, and more.

  • Ghost Walks – October 14-30 – Unearth Oakville’s haunted past with the Oakville Historical Society’s guided walk through the town’s most historic (and ghostly!) spots. A local favourite for spooky season.
  • The Wearable Art Show – October 25-27 – The Wearable Art Show is Canada’s premier fashion show and sale for lovers of wearable works of art.Discover Canada’s best textile and fashion artists at this juried show, featuring hand-crafted clothing, jewellery, and accessories. 
  • Oakville Symphony Season Launch – November 1-2 – Celebrate the start of the Symphony’s 2025–2026 season with an unforgettable evening of music “TOGETHER: Music that unites us, inspired by friendship and connection” at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.
