1. Lions Valley Park
Looking for a place to host the whole family? Lions Valley Park has two designated picnic areas that are each equipped with a barbeque and can hold up to 80 people.
With playgrounds, expansive trails and a diverse canopy of trees, this valley is a sight to behold. It will take you a few visits to explore everything this area has to offer.
2. Coronation Park
As the host site for high-profile events like the Terry Fox Run and the Courage Polar Bear Dip, Coronation Park has plenty of space to accommodate those looking to picnic, play and practice.
All four picnic stations can hold 80-100 guests and are also fitted with barbeques to fire up the perfect summer sensations. Take the kids to the playground, walk along the waterfront, skip rocks and play beach volleyball at this family summer hot spot.
This park is experiencing some closures due to flooding in the spring, but there is still plenty of space to enjoy a day by the lake.
3. Dingle Park
Plan an intimate picnic this summer at Dingle Park! This Downtown Oakville gem has one picnic bench tucked away in a lakeside corner of town for those looking to have an uninterrupted lunch.
Listen to the waves lap while raising a glass to this perfect local perch located right on the access to a breathtaking waterfront trail.
4. Lakeside Park
Need somewhere more family-friendly? Take a seat in Lakeside Park which is surrounded by historic homes, museums, playgrounds and one of Oakville’s legendary piers!
Shop, dine and explore at this diamond in Downtown Oakville.
