Two Oakville companies are 2012 winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program — Levitt-Safety and STRONE.

In its 20th year, the Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation is given to private organizations with revenues of more than $10 million — 50 new companies have joined these ranks.

“During the program’s 20-year history, thousands of private companies have competed for this designation,” said John Hughes, regional Deloitte partner.

“This year’s winners have proven that even during global financial crisis, they are still optimistic about the future; focusing on key operating metrics and accountability.”

“Growth is at the top of the agenda for this year’s winners. Best managed winners made strategic investments in their company, platform, systems and people and in turn, revenue and income grew substantially,” stated a press release.

According to program organizers, Best Managed Companies are focused on: understanding that mergers and acquisitions drive growth; attracting key talent; product service innovation driving revenue through growth and cost reduction; and succession transition.
