Come to the Oakville Museum for a trip through Oakville’s past at the Underground Railroad Walking Tour. This unique indoor/outdoor historical tour explores Oakville’s important role in the Underground Railroad.
Beginning with an introduction to the exhibit “Freedom, Opportunity and Family: Oakville’s Black History”, visitors can then experience an exciting multimedia presentation, ‘The Underground Railroad: Next Stop Freedom”. a courageous, true story of slavery and freedom.
Weather permitting, visitors will then take part in an outdoor walk and explore nearby locations that highlight Oakville’s role in the Underground Railroad.
Please dress appropriately for the Underground Railroad Walking Tour, and please note that climbing a flight of stairs is part of the tour.
Entry fee is $11.28. Ages 18 and up.
