Abbey Park High School

TEDx talks are coming back to Oakville! Abbey Park High School will be hosting its second annual TEDx conference featuring thirteen inspirational students from across the Halton Region on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Speech topics range from how to empower problem solvers, research on new medical advances and why to lower the voting age.

Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to…
– Hear thought-provoking TEDx speeches from Halton’s most inspiring high school students on the theme “Solutions for the 21st century”;
– Listen to keynote speeches from Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, and a Juno-nominated artist;
– Experience a groundbreaking virtual reality experience that is unique to our TEDx conference, courtesy of Mohawk College;
– Network with community leaders, fellow attendees and speakers;
– Take part in various interactive activities;
– Receive free food and goodies!
If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the event, we would encourage you to do so quickly – seating at the conference is extremely limited and will sell out fast. This is an all-ages event and is perfect for students, parents and seniors alike!
