Plein Air Paint and Picnic Day

Bronte Creek Provincial Park

Plein Air Painting Day is a day for all you creative painters to get outside and paint!  The park provides so many great subjects – fences, stone wall, forested paths, spring wildflowers etc.

Interested artists need to register with Oakville Art Society for the Free Workshop (after park entry).  Daily vehicle fee is $18/ car, all participants, painters and public will be required to obtain and valid park permit.

Afternoon workshop will be offered by Robin J. Mitchell, in partnership with Oakville Art Society. Participants are asked to pre-register as space is limited. (Morning workshop is FULL)

Other painters (already skilled at Plein Air) are invited to join us for a day of painting and picnicking.  The event will be centered around Spruce Lane Farm (parking lot F) – painters should sign in at the park information tent.  If they wish to display/ sell/ commission work they need to sign a vendor agreement on the day of.  We hope to have a majority of the works of art on display represent the park, local wildlife, Victorian/ farm cultural heritage etc.  (no city scapes etc.)

vendors” need to supply their own set-up.  We will not have tents/ awnings or any indoor space.


Public are also encouraged to join us for a wander through the area — looking at the works of art and possibly purchasing a piece or 2.


We are hoping for a relaxing atmosphere and great weather.
