The Oakville Children’s Festival returns to Queen Elizabeth Park on July 8, 2018!

National treasure and four-time Juno Award winner Fred Penner will headline the 2018 Oakville Children’s Festival on Sunday, July 8.  Families can expect to dance and sing along to hits like The Cat Came Back, Happy Feet and Moonlight Express.

Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC) located at 2302 Bridge Road, where the grounds will be transformed into an arts and culture playground for kids of all ages and abilities.

Festival admission is free and the event will take place rain or shine.

There is no parking on site. Residents and out-of-town guests are encouraged to take the free Oakville Transit shuttle service from the Bronte GO Station. Free bike parking is also be available on site. Click on the Free Shuttle link for more information.

Festival Tips

  • Ride your bike! Free bike parking corral on site.
  • Bring sunscreen, a blanket and refillable water bottle for use at our free water stations.
  • Check out our indoor cooling stations and take a break from the sun.
  • Pack a picnic lunch and snacks or purchase food on site. ATM available on site.
  • Take a photo of your child with the Halton Regional Police Service Cruiser when you arrive.
  • Bring your swimsuit and enjoy free swims in the QEPCCC pool. Capacity restrictions apply and wristbands are required. First-come, first-served at the pool starting at 9:30 a.m.
  • We are committed to providing smoke-free outdoor spaces where kids play.
  • We encourage visitors to leave pets at home.
  • There is no parking on site. On-street parking is extremely limited.
  • Please allow access for emergency vehicles and take the free shuttle from Bronte GO.

Black Box Theatre Performances

10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. – Oakville Public Library Storytelling

11 a.m. and 1 p.m.- Illustrator Paul Covello: Everyday ABC

*The Black Box Theatre is located inside the QEPCCC

Community Stage Performances

10:30 a.m., 12:30 and 2:30 p.m – Hoop Dancer Ryan Runearth

11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. – Kaeja d’Dance Company: Flock Landing

11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – Enviro Drum

*The Community Stage is located near the festival information booth

Multi-Purpose Room 2

Hourly (10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) – Halton Green Screens Amateur Film Festival Screenings
