Culture Days: Moccasin Trail
Come with family and friends to explore the history of the lands in the Oakville area from an Indigenous perspective. Learn from a First Nations guide while taking a relaxing walk among the beautiful colours of the Oakville Trail system. Your guide, Stephen Paquette, is of the Ojibway (Anishinaabe) Nation, whose people were the traditional stewards of the lands on which Oakville sits. ‘The ‘Falling Leaves Moon’ is a time when we are honoured with the grandest of colours that the Creator has gifted us with.’
Explore your trails, explore your history, explore your spirit.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is FREE, but registration is required through the event website, opening August 12.
